Sentry Mirror Components

The unique construction of the Sentry Mirror creates 24-7 protection to the mirror. Below are all of the components of the mirror system and the features that make the Sentry Mirror a strong, vandal resistant option for vandal-prone facilities. 

The Wall Panel is the mirror casing that is manufactured from a single piece of corrosion-resistant, aircraft-quality aluminum alloy, making it so the unit will not rust. It has no mitered or welded corners, so it has no weak points. 

Similarly, the Front Bezel (picture frame cover) is made from a single piece of #4 polished stainless steel, so it also has no mitered or welded corners and thus, no points of weakness. 

The Mirror itself is made from the highest quality DS-Clear glass with swiped edges for protection. It has no distortion, unlike plastic mirrors.

The Polyethylene Foam Backing ensures that if a mirror does get broken, it will be held intact for easier and safer removal/replacement. 

A Plexi-Shield is cut from a clear acrylic sheet. It gets installed in front of the mirror to provide a layer of protection to the mirror, and create an easier and cheaper component to be replaced when vandalism does occur. The shield is strong and arrives scratch-free, coming with a PVC protective film on both sides.

A Moisture/Dust Seal is designed to form between the mirror and the Plexi-Shield to stop moisture and dust from getting in between the surfaces. 

Color-coded Brackets are included underneath the front bezel (red for the mirror fastening device) to make removal of the plexi-shield or mirror as straight-forward and seamless as possible. 

The Tamper-Pruf™ Screws are unique fasteners that are made captive with snap rings, and are a permanent part of the front stainless steel bezel. When they are removed, then you have access to the Plexi-Shield and mirror. This eliminates theft, loss, and the potential for parts to fall down a drain. 

A Socket and Screw Assembly Tool is provided with the mirror to remove the Tamper-Pruf™ Screws.

Other sizes are also available and include the following: 18: x 30”, 20” x 30”, and 24” x 36”. These less popular sizes are not on our website. Call to order them, as well as separate accessories like a replacement tool, front bezel, and mirror. 

Shipping and Ordering Information

These will typically ship within 24 to 48 hours after you place your order. The Mirror is packed in its own specially designed corrugated carton to reduce the chance of damage during transit. 

Plexi-Shield Maintenance Tips 

 

Extend the life of your Plexi-Shield:

✅ Only use a soft, damp cloth to clean the mirror and Plex-Shield. A small amount of dish soap can also be used. 

❌ Refrain from using paper towels, which can scratch the Plexi-Shield. 

❌ Do not use ammonia based cleaning products because they will fog and degrade the Plexi-Shield over time. 

❌ Do not hose down or power wash the Plexi-Shield or mirror.
