At Equiparts, we’re committed to staying at the forefront of plumbing innovation so we can bring the best solutions to our customers. That’s why we were excited to host a recent Lunch & Learn event with Scott Dolgos and Stew Hammond from Chicago Faucets. Our team enjoyed pizza and hands-on demonstrations of some of Chicago’s most cutting-edge plumbing products—designed specifically with healthcare facilities and institutional settings in mind. Learn more about the products our team learned about below. Then give us a call or peruse our online selection of Chicago Faucets products to learn more.
Smarter, Safer Showers with Auto-Drain Technology
One of the highlights of the session was the Chicago Faucets Auto-Drain Shower System—a standout solution for healthcare environments. This system is the only one on the market designed to purge dangerous standing water from the valve, pipes, and hoses, addressing a serious concern in clinical and patient care settings where waterborne bacteria like legionella can pose major risks. It also meets a wide range of healthcare application requirements, making it both safe and versatile.
TempShield™: Built-In Scald Protection
Scott and Stew also gave us a look at the next generation of Chicago Faucets featuring TempShield™ scald protection technology. This innovation is ASSE 1070 compliant and completely integrated into the faucet body, eliminating the need for a separate mixing valve under the sink. That means simpler installation, fewer parts, and greater reliability—especially valuable in high-use environments like hospitals and schools.
New Gooseneck Spout Built for Compliance
Another exciting addition is Chicago’s first 6″ gooseneck spout, created to comply with the Facility Guidelines Institute standards. This new design is ideal for patient rooms and exam spaces where both accessibility and compliance are needed.
Thermoplastic Nuts with Brass Threads
We also got a sneak peek at Chicago’s new thermoplastic faucet installation nuts, which feature brass threads and won’t rust over time like the older zinc versions. That means fewer maintenance headaches and longer-lasting performance—especially in high-moisture environments. These nuts are expected to be available in October.
665 Series Faucet Now Discontinued: Meet the New 765 Series
Chicago Faucets has discontinued their 665 series metering push button faucets and created a new 765 series to replace them. The new 765 series features a new upper cartridge assembly and a screw in the top of the handle instead of a set screw on the side.
We still have limited stock of the 665 series faucets available, but once they are sold out, they are no longer available. However, repair parts for the 665 faucets will still be available for at least the next 5 years. If you need help checking stock for the Chicago Faucets 665 Series or want to learn more about the new 765 Series replacing it, give our team a call.
